Can't wait to be in Krakow Poland!

I remembered when I was a little girl at school, we learned about the famous Polish physicist and chemist Maria Skłodowska-Curie, and she was the first woman that ever won the nobel prize. That was the first time I ever heard about the country Poland. I can't help but become curious about this country ever since, what is it like? what are the people like there? Do they live the same way we live in China?

So when I first heard about this program in the Innovation of Media Business Model class, I was intrigued at once. Since I have grown up now, I learned some more things about Poland compared to when I was a little girl. I learned that Poland is in central Europe, right next to Germany and Czech Republic, I learned that Polish people fought bravely and went through so much during the second World War, I learned that Poland was a communist country before just like China, which made me even more curious about the country, and was one of the big reasons that I wanted to go on this study tour. After our discussion about the articles about Poland in class, I now know more about Poland's media industry, music industry, game industry and political background.

I remember in class when Professor Bozena talked about that Poland was the only country in Europe Union that did not experience an economic decline in 2008, that Polish people rely on relationships between each other much, that Polish people like to shopping and dress up and so on. I saw so many similar connections between Polish people and people from where I came from- China. Hearing Professor Bozena talking about how they grew up with food tickets, everyone was wearing the same shoes and same clothes, China had that experience also, I heard many stories like that from my parents and my grandparents growing up.

Today I am finally landing in this country that I have wanted to visit for such a long time. I feel like I am ready to see it with my own eyes, to experience it all. I want to see the people's lives here, try the food, see where they work, how they work, experience the culture and its academic life.

Can't wait to be there! Krakow Poland!
